Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) seeks to increase psychological flexibility, or the ability to feel and think with openness, to stay present in the moment, and to move your life in directions that are important to you. ACT work focuses on helping stop the struggle with or against intense emotions, and instead learning to manage them while also moving forward living one's values. The ACT modality teaches how to detach from one's thoughts. ACT also encourages setting goals and taking action steps, no matter how small.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy is a body-centered form of therapy that supports mental and emotional healing by working with the connection between mind and body. Rather than focusing solely on thoughts and conversation, it helps gently release stored stress, trauma, and unresolved emotions held in the body. Using techniques such as breathwork, body awareness, gentle movement, and grounding practices, somatic therapy encourages tuning into physical sensations as a pathway to deeper healing and balance.
Energy Work
Energy work is a holistic practice aimed at balancing the body's physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It uses channeled energy to remove blockages (including trapped emotions) to promote relaxation, mental clarity, and spiritual growth. It may involve intuition, Reiki, breathwork, visualization, sound, or a combination of these.
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that involves channeling the universal life force energy through gentle touch to promote relaxation and balance in the mind and body.
