About Kenzie Fox

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wisconsin. I received my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Viterbo University. I have been working in the field since 2018 and decided to open my own practice in the summer of 2022.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love hiking and yoga. I am always seeking to learn from new experiences and knowledge to grow my self-awareness.

My therapeutic philosophy:

I believe you are the expert in your own life. I can simply serve as a guide, walking along next to you, to help you become who you want to be.

I believe you have what you need inside of you - you might just need a mirror to really see it.

I believe in the power of validation. Everyone wants to be seen, heard, and understood.

I believe our behaviors are a representation of what we are experiencing inside our mind and body.

I believe change comes through increased self-awareness. We need to fully understand our patterns before we can identify what changes will be most successful.

I believe self-love is the most powerful tool we have at our disposal. We never do it enough.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach to treatment is a collection of concepts and strategies from several evidence-based therapy modalities.

I have had success pulling from a variety of modalities because it allows me to provide treatment custom to every client.

The primary modalities I use are described below.

Sad on Couch

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) seeks to increase psychological flexibility, or the ability to feel and think with openness, to attend voluntarily to your experience of the present moment and to move your life in directions that are important to you (Hayes, 2020).
